BLOOMINGTON, MN, April 14, 2014 — The Virginia Insurance Continuing Education Board has renewed its partnership with computer-based testing leader Pearson VUE to administer all aspects of its continuing education program. In this role, Pearson VUE assists the Board with approving and renewing providers, courses and instructors and performing compliance runs, providing required notifications and banking Continuing Education credits.
Pearson VUE has also helped the Virginia Insurance Continuing Education Board change the rules and processes of its continuing education program during its first contract period.
The latest in a series of global financial partnership wins and renewals, Pearson VUE will continue to be the sole provider of the sophisticated computer-based program for the Board.
Ken Hein, Chairman of the Virginia Continuing Education Board, said: “Ensuring that producers in the insurance industry in the Commonwealth of Virginia maintain their qualifications to practice through ongoing education is a critical element to consumer protection. Since 2008, we have worked closely with Pearson VUE to administer the daily operations of the Continuing Education Program and it is with their help that we have continued to develop and enhance our program. The decision to continue our relationship with Pearson VUE brings a welcome level of continuity to the constituents served by the Virginia Insurance Continuing Education Program and the Board itself.”
