Texas Real Estate Commission selects Pearson VUE to develop and deliver regulatory licensing computer-based testing program


BLOOMINGTON, MN, August 4, 2014 – The Texas Real Estate Commission has signed a new multi-year contract with computer-based testing leader Pearson VUE to develop and deliver a range of licensing examinations. The initial multi-year contract period will commence September 1, 2014.

Pearson VUE will provide Association of Real Estate License Law Officials-certified exams and administer the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors and the Appraiser Qualifications Board exams, along with testing content specific to Texas. These are licensing examinations for real estate brokers, sales agents, real estate inspectors, professional inspectors, certified general appraisers, certified residential appraisers and licensed real estate appraisers.

Pearson VUE will deliver the exams through its existing test center network in Texas, giving candidates the choice of 19 locations throughout the state, while also offering the convenience of booking and re-scheduling tests when they choose.
