The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) is the sole professional body for the banking industry in Malaysia. AICB has partnered with Pearson VUE to deliver the examinations both test-centre and online proctored.

Examination Booking Management

A) New Examination Booking

To schedule an examination, you must have an active module registration with AICB. Upon registration, you may access Pearson VUE via the AICB Member Portal to book your examination. Kindly click on the links below to access the guides:

Upon scheduling your examination, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation email with the following details: Examination date and time, the address and contact number of the test centre, or full details of your online proctored examination.

B) Rescheduling or Cancelling Scheduled Examinations

  1. Test Centre
    If you wish to cancel your enrolment or reschedule your exam, please go to AICB Member Portal to reschedule your examination at least 48 hours before your scheduled examination time. Failure to:
    • reschedule within the stipulated time limit, or
    • appear for your appointment
    will result in the forfeiture of your examination fee. Your status will also indicate ‘No Show’, which is equivalent to 'Absent'.
  2. OnVUE (Online Proctored Examination)
    If you wish to cancel your enrolment or reschedule your exam, please go to AICB Member Portal to reschedule your examination before your scheduled examination time. Failure to reschedule before your scheduled examination time will result in the forfeiture of your examination fee. Your status will also indicate ‘No Show’, which is equivalent to ‘Absent’.

On Examination Day

  1. Test Centre
    Please arrive at the test centre 15 minutes before your scheduled examination time to give yourself adequate time to complete the necessary sign-in procedures. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, admission will be refused and your examination fees will be forfeited.

  2. OnVUE (Online Proctored Examination):
    Please log in to your account 30 minutes before the commencement of your examination to ensure a smooth check-in process. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you will not be able to take the examination and your examination fees will be forfeited.

ID Requirements

You are required to present an original and valid ID that includes your name and photograph — photocopies and e-copies are not allowed. The first and last name on your ID must match that which was submitted at the time of application. Your ID must be issued by the country in which you are taking your examination. If this is unavailable, a passport from your country of citizenship is required. Examination Correspondence

If you’ve received an email from Pearson VUE regarding the temporary closure of your exam venue, please contact Pearson VUE to reschedule your exam or discuss your alternative options.
