To further achieve its vision to improve healthcare by providing valid, reliable medical examinations that comply with international examination standards, the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) has signed a multi-year agreement with Pearson VUE, under which the latter will exclusively administer the Omani Occupational Classification Examination for Nurses.
The 2.5-hour examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and covers eight domains of nursing designed to measure the competencies a nurse would need: principles of care, evidence-based practice including research and epidemiology, adult health nursing, maternal health nursing, child health nursing, mental health nursing, community health nursing, and gerontological nursing.
The Pearson VUE exam is computer-based and available in Pearson VUE global test centers. Candidates can register for and schedule exams at pearsonvue.com/omsb.
