District of Columbia Insurance
The Government of the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) regulates financial-service businesses in the District by administering DC’s insurance, securities and banking laws, rules and regulations. DISB’s primary goal is to ensure residents of the District of Columbia have access to a wide choice of insurance, securities and banking products and services, and that they are treated fairly by the companies and individuals that provide these services.

FINGERPRINTING REQUIREMENTS
Any applicant who passes the examination to become a resident DC Insurance Producer, must submit to fingerprinting and a background check through Fieldprint. Additionally, every nonresident producer who becomes a resident producer must also submit to fingerprinting and background checks. Examination scheduling information
Please VERIFY that you have created your web account with your LEGAL name as it appears on your government-issued ID and that your personal information is CORRECT. Contact Pearson VUE immediately to correct the spelling of your name or update your personal information if you notice any errors. It is very important that this information is correct, as it will appear as it was entered on the documentation provided to you after you have completed the exam, as well as on any reports to your licensing agency.
Appointments may be made up to one calendar day prior to the day you wish to test, subject to availability. You may schedule your exam online or over the phone by contacting customer service.
