Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry is the art and science required to insert and maintain suitable biocompatible materials and devices as artificial abutments to support the fabrication of specifically designed fixed or removable prostheses to restore adequate function, comfort and esthetics to the partially or totally edentulous patient.
The purpose of the certification examination administered by the American Board of Oral Implantology/ Implant Dentistry is to provide assurance to the public that candidates who have successfully completed this examination possess the knowledge, skills and experience in the field of oral implantology/implant dentistry.

Scheduling
First-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE web account. Appointments may be made up to one business day in advance.
After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
