Exam Scheduling

To schedule online, first-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE web account. Since ALA exams are coordinated through HumRRO you will be asked for your HumRRO ID# provided to you by HumRRO. Please note that account creation may require up to 24 hours. You will be notified by e-mail when your account is activated. Scheduling for the 2021 exams are now open!

Appointments may be made in advance up to one business day before the exam, subjective to availability.

Whether testing at a Test Center or from home, be prepared to show one current government-issued identification such as a driver’s license or passport. This must be a photo identification with a signature. The name on this identification must exactly match the name used for the Pearson VUE appointment process. HumRRO and ALA must be notified immediately to correct inaccurate spelling of a candidate’s name or incorrect personal information. If a candidate’s name does not match the name on the candidate’s government-issued ID, the candidate may be denied the opportunity to test for security reasons and may forfeit their examination fee.
