You have the option to take your Exam Part One in March 2023 in person at a Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Center or online with OnVUE in the comfort and privacy of your home.
Testing online with the OnVUE system is flexible, convenient and easy — but there are unique requirements you should be familiar with. For example, you’ll need a private, distraction-free space to take the exam. A system test will show if your computer and internet are sufficient. And you’ll be monitored by proctors and assistive AI tools during the test. Weigh your options »

The AO Spine Global Diploma Exam is a summative assessment of knowledge and decision-making with respect to treating patients with spinal conditions. It enables candidates to demonstrate that they have attained a level of knowledge expected of a specialist spine surgeon after 5 years of practical experience. The Diploma Exam has been designed by a group of worldwide leaders in spine surgery education. It is not intended to certify competence of technical skill or ability to preform surgical procedures. It is not a compulsary or regulatory certificate of competence or excellent.
Eligibility
Before using this site to schedule your test, you must first have registered with AO Spine and received email confirmation of your eligibility to sit the AO Spine Global Diploma Exam.

Booking your exam
Once advised by AO Spine that you are eligible for an exam you can only book your test via the Pearson VUE website or via the Pearson Vue call centre. You cannot book your exam appointment via AO Spine.
You will have received an email from Pearson VUE with your AO Spine Exam ID. You must quote this when registering online or contacting the call centre for assistance.
