Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Social Work Licensure Examinations

The exams provided by the Association of Social Work Boards are used in every U.S. State, as well as the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Saskatchewan. Depending on jurisdictional requirements, candidates may take one of five examination categories: Associate, Bachelors, Masters, Advanced Generalist, and Clinical. Registration

You will not be able to schedule an appointment to test if you have not already registered with ASWB and paid the examination fee. If you have not done so, you may register online at aswb.org/exam-candidates/exam-registration.

Appointment Length

Please note that your appointment length is longer than the exam time. The APPOINTMENT LENGTH includes ALL components of the testing appointment, including the exam introduction, non-disclosure agreement, tutorial, etc. The EXAM TIME is the time that is allocated only for answering and reviewing exam questions.
