CWEA is a non-profit public benefit corporation offering vocational competency certification for personnel in the wastewater industry. Through our validated assessment system, CWEA certificate holders have demonstrated that they possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties of their vocation safely and effectively. Some employers require CWEA certification while others encourage it. Our certificate holders have found that certification not only demonstrates their competency, but shows their commitment to the profession, and helps with job advancement.

Get certified from your home or office

Take your CWEA Technical Certification Program exam conveniently from home through OnVUE online proctoring. A live proctor will monitor you through the webcam on your workstation to provide a secure exam experience.

Certification Application and Examination Information:

Before scheduling an exam, you need to have done the following:

  1. Applied for the TCP exam through CWEA (Apply now)
  2. Paid the TCP examination fee
  3. Been notified of your eligibility to sit for the exam
