Important Information

August 21, 2014 – Effective immediately, FDLE now offers electronic exam reviews at Pearson VUE test centers. This service is available only to examinees who fail an FDLE exam. The service can only be scheduled by contacting the Pearson VUE call center. It cannot be scheduled online. More information about the service can be found in the candidate handbook or on the FAQ document, both of which are located at the bottom of this page.

July 1, 2014 – On July 1, 2014, the new Florida Law Enforcement Academy (FLEA) curriculum went into effect for all law enforcement basic recruit and equivalency–of–training programs. Any law enforcement basic recruit or equivalency–of–training candidates who began their training on or after July 1, 2014 will be assigned to the new FLEA exam (FDLE–FA–500) upon completion of the training program. Candidates whose programs started before July 1, 2014 will be assigned to the FCMS Law Enforcement exam (FDLE–LE–100) corresponding to their training program. Candidates will not be held responsible for content on which they were not trained. Pearson VUE will offer FDLE certification exams in the following disciplines: Law Enforcement (FCMS), Traditional Corrections, Florida Corrections, Florida Correctional Probation (FCPO).

Examination Scheduling Information

Before you can schedule your exam with Pearson VUE, you must first be authorized by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Authorization is dependent on your status with your training facility. You will not be able to schedule your exam until Pearson VUE receives an authorization file for you from FDLE. Once you are authorized, you will then need to create a Web account to schedule your exam online or call Pearson VUE to request assistance with setting up your account and scheduling your exam. Please reference the FDLE Registration Guide and candidate handbook on this page for additional information regarding creating your Web account and scheduling your exam.

Appointments may be made up to one calendar day prior to the day you wish to test, subject to availability.
