The SQE is a new common assessment for all would-be solicitors, which will be introduced in autumn 2021.
In the future, all those wishing to qualify as a solicitor will need to:
- pass the two stages of examinations (SQE1 and SQE2)
- have a degree or equivalent qualification or experience
- complete two years’ qualifying work experience
- meet the SRA’s character and suitability requirements.
This website is related to the pilot for SQE2. Further information about the pilot can be found here.
Kaplan is a global education and assessment organisation which has been appointed by the SRA to design, develop and deliver the SQE.
You can select your test centre for the SQE2 pilot via this webpage. You are only able to log in to select a test centre after you have confirmed that you will be sitting the Pilot.
Test Centre Environment
Candidates are encouraged to view the “What to expect in a Pearson VUE Centre” video. Kaplan does not have exclusive occupancy of Pearson VUE test centres and candidates should be aware that the test room may be also used by candidates who are sitting other assessments of different durations.
We do not guarantee that the test environment will be completely silent. Ear plugs should be offered to you during the check-in process, and headphones are also available at most UK test centres. Every effort is made to provide a quiet environment for candidates, but test centres may be located in city centres and we have no control over traffic or construction noise which may occur outside the test centre.
Should you require any accommodations, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your request.
