NETA-InterNational Electrical Testing Association
Welcome! NETA offers recognition of four levels of competency within the electrical testing industry in accordance with ANSI/NETA ETT Standard for Certification of Electrical Testing Technicians. Levels 2, 3, and 4 are attained through certification exams administered by Pearson VUE.

Registration
To take an exam, a candidate is required to be employed by a NETA Accredited Company. All exam registrations are managed through the NETA Accredited Representative or NETA Technician Representative at a NETA Accredited Company.

Create a Pearson VUE Account
A Pearson VUE account is required the first time a candidate schedules an appointment to take a NETA-InterNational Electrical Testing Association exam. Candidates should enter their NETA ID and first and last name. Candidates should enter their name exactly as it appears on their NETA exam authorization email. Once they have created an account with Pearson VUE, candidates will use this account for subsequent exams and view their scores.
Locate a Testing Center
Candidates will be able to locate a Test Center authorized to administer their examination near their location.
Select a Date and Time
Candidates will sign in to their accounts and select a date and time for their exam. All available dates will be presented to them for the location they have selected. After they schedule their exam, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation email with all pertinent exam information.
Rescheduling an exam
Candidates who need to reschedule their exam appointment can make modifications directly to their Pearson VUE account or by calling Pearson VUE directly 24 hours or more from their exam appointment date and time.
Rescheduling within 24 hours of their exam date and time requires NETA office authorization. The cost to reschedule is $100. Please contact the NETA Office at (888)300-6382 or neta@netaworld.org.
Canceling an exam
Candidates who need to cancel their exam appointment can make modifications directly to their Pearson VUE account or by calling Pearson VUE directly.
Exam Preparation & Study Materials
Any questions regarding exam content, industry standards or more please go to netaworld.org/certification/exam-preparation account. There you will find a study guide, Detailed Content Outline, formulae sheet, and reference list to assist in your preparation. A Practice Exam can be purchased for $100, allowing the user one hour to take the exam, and provides 60 days to review the test results.
On the Testing Date
A test candidate should arrive at the test center 30 minutes before their scheduled appointment time, allowing adequate time to complete the necessary sign-in procedures. Candidates should be prepared to show two forms of ID, have their digital photo taken, have their palm scanned, and provide a digital signature. If a candidate arrives more than 15 minutes late for their appointment, they may be refused admission and potentially forfeit the exam attempt and any applicable fees.
