Connectivity Tip: Use an ethernet cable to connect to the internet instead of using wifi. This helps to prevent a disruption in your internet service during your examination.

Reminder: Make sure you perform the system check on the machine you plan you will use for the examination. This tells you and Pearson that your computer is compatible with the test software.

Day of Examination:
  • On the day of your examination, be sure to log on to OnVUE no more than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Logging in earlier may cause connectivity issues.
  • Keep your phone nearby but out of reach and out of sight in the room in which you are testing. Make sure the phone is set to silent mode. This allows the Pearson VUE proctor to call you if experience an interruption in internet service during the examination.
  • If you are using a laptop, ensure it is plugged into an outlet or that the battery is fully charged.
  • The Pearson VUE proctor will ask to see your workspace and room before you begin your examination.
