Q. What are the required documents in the test center?
A. If you are Omani national, you will be required to present one valid hard copy of a government-issued photo ID (Civil/National ID, driving license, or passport). If you are non-Omani national, you must present a valid passport. A printed copy of your booking confirmation is recommended.
Q. My name in the Pearson VUE website is not matching my documents, what should I do?
A. Please contact Pearson VUE for the correction prior to your exam and make sure it is reflected in the Pearson VUE website.
Q. My middle name is not mentioned in my profile in Pearson VUE website?
A. The first, middle, and the last name should be exactly matching, if the middle name is missing or not matching, please contact Pearson VUE for the correction prior to your exam and make sure it is reflected in the Pearson VUE website.
Q. My e-mail address and mobile number are incorrect in my Pearson VUE profile, how do I correct them?
A. You will be able to edit this information in your Pearson VUE account, by logging into your account and clicking "My Profile" in the top right side.
Q. How can I pay my exam fees?
A. Payment can be done online and by calling Pearson VUE customer service helpline, we accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Master Card), if you are using a debit card, please ensure that it allows the online payments by contacting your bank.
Note: If you will take the exam in Lebanon or Pakistan; booking the exam can be done only by visiting the test center at least 2 business days prior to your exam date and paying the exam fees as cash only.
Q. How can I reschedule my exam and is there any rescheduling fee?
A. You can reschedule your exam booking at least 48 hours prior to the exam date through Pearson VUE website or by calling Pearson VUE customer service helpline, rescheduling the exam is free of charge. Rescheduling less than 48 hours prior to your appointment may result in forfeiting your exam fees.
Q. When I try to log in, a message appears "You are currently restricted from signing in to your account. Please contact us to remove the restriction", what should I do?
A. That means that your profile was locked due to invalid payment attempts, please call Pearson VUE customer service to remove the restriction.
Q. During the booking, I see the message "The credit card payment option is not available for this order. If you need additional information, please contact your Pearson VUE."
A. This message appears when you are booking the exam in Pakistan or Lebanon, online payments cannot be done If you will take the exam in any of these countries, the booking can be done only by visiting the test center at least 2 business days prior to your exam date and paying the exam fees in cash.
Q. What happens if I arrive late at the test center?
A. We ask that you arrive at the test center 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will give you adequate time to complete the necessary sign-in procedures. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late from your appointment start time, you may be refused admission and will lose the exam fees.
Q. Should I pay again if I am going to schedule my exam again?
A. Yes, every booking requires a new payment.
Q. If I cancel my exam, will the exam fees be refunded?
A. If the exam is cancelled 48 hours prior to the exam date, a full refund will be issued to the same credit card used for booking the exam. The refund takes 10-14 business days. Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to your appointment may result in forfeiting your exam fees.
Q. I lost my score report, what should I do?
A. Lost score reports cannot be re-issued. Kindly contact Oman Medical Specialty Board for any results-related queries.
Q. How many exam attempts do I have?
A. Every specialty has a different number of attempts allowed. You may contact the Oman Medical Specialty Board directly for more details.
Q. Should I create a profile in the Pearson VUE website to take the exam?
