All candidates must review the minimum system requirements and run the system test and exam simulation before scheduling an OnVUE exam. If you purchase an OnVUE exam and your computer equipment does not meet the requirements, you are unlikely to receive a refund. Review the system requirements and simulation test here.

Exam Retake Policy (for all RSA exams)

If you do not pass an exam on your first attempt, you may retake the exam at any time. If you do not pass an exam on your second attempt, you must wait at least 2 weeks (14 days) between each additional attempt. If you need to retake an exam that you have already passed to fulfill a certification track requirement, you may do so after 3 months. Candidates are required to pay the $150 exam fee when registering to retake an exam.

Certification Expiration

Associate level exams carry a four-year lifespan, but subsequent exams carry a two-year lifespan. In order to advance to a higher-level exam, the previous level exam must still be active. Be sure to note the expiration date for each exam.

Non-Disclosure Agreement

Once candidates are seated for an exam in a Pearson VUE Testing Center, they will be given 5 minutes to read and sign RSA’s examination Non-Disclosure Agreement. Signing the NDA is required for candidates to proceed with the exam. Candidates who decline or do not ‘agree’ within the 5 minutes, will be excused from the exam room, and will forfeit their entire examination fee.

For those candidates who wish to review the full text of the NDA prior to taking the exam, we make it available here.
