Take your Washington Nurse Aides exam conveniently from home through OnVUE online proctoring. A live proctor will monitor you through the webcam on your workstation to provide a secure exam experience.

Announcements

Starting June 15, 2021, you will have 2 options for taking the written part of the Washington Nurse Aide exam.

Two scheduling options for the Washington Nurse Aide exam

  • Schedule at a Pearson VUE Authorized Testing (CBT) Center.
  • Schedule an online proctored exam* via OnVUE.

*You must pass a system check on the computer you will use to take the exam before you register. If you don’t pass the system check before you register and you can’t complete the exam, you won’t get a refund.


Beginning at noon, EDT on September 21, candidates can schedule for the written portion of the Washington Nurse Aide exam at the Pearson VUE 3rd party computer based testing (CBT) centers. Skills testing resumed in August and candidates are no longer required to take their first attempt at written and skills together due to this transition to CBT testing.

Steps to enroll on the Washington Nurse Aides

The following are the steps in the process of enrollment onto the Washington Nurse Aides Registry. Steps that require action by you are indicated by a symbol.

Complete training program

Student must complete the state approved training program.

If you did not complete a Washington state-approved training but wish to test, Please review the Washington Nurse Aide candidate handbook or visit the Washington website.

Roster uploaded

Your training provider will upload a roster of students who have successfully completed the training program. Ask your training provider when this will be uploaded.

Email received

You will receive account activation instructions at the address you provided your training provider. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam or bulk email folder.

If your notification is not in your junk or spam folder or you have not accessed your account within the alloted time period, please review "Account Recovery" process in the Step by Step Candidate Guide (PDF)
