Q. Is my preferred test center open for exam delivery?
A. Most Pearson VUE-owned and operated test centers are delivering exams. Find your exam program on the test-taker homepage, then log in to your account to search for a test center near you.
Q. Can I schedule an in-person exam appointment?
A. Yes. We are delivering exams at our Pearson Professional Centers (PPCs).
Some third-party test centers (PVTC and PVTC Selects) around the world may be operating at limited or changed capacity based on their own discretion or in response to government mandates. We continue to deliver exams to any third-party test centers with the ability to operate.

Q. Can I travel to a different state/jurisdiction to take my test?
A. Yes, but you are responsible to ensure there are no travel restrictions for the location where you want to take your test. If you travel to test in a location that has travel restrictions in place, you may be turned away. Some locations may also have unique requirements for in-person testing, so be sure to check the location-specific testing information prior to traveling.
Q. Am I required to wear a face mask?
A. Where required, yes, you must bring and properly wear your own face mask the entire time you are at the test center. Check the face mask requirements at your test center by using the search field opens in new window near the bottom of our COVID-related testing information page.
- Please note: Regardless of local regulations, some programs require masks for all testing candidates. To find out if your program mandates mask-wearing, refer to your program-specific landing page.
Q. Why has my exam been moved to another location?
A. Occasionally, as local guidelines dictate, test centers may need to close or reduce appointment availability, necessitating a location change. When this happens, we will move your exam appointment to a temporary appointment-holding test center to allow you time to reschedule your appointment to a date and location convenient to you. We will send you an email informing you of this change. In this case, prior to your originally scheduled appointment date, you can reschedule your exam, free of charge, through your online candidate profile.
Q. How will I know if my exam is canceled?
A. You will receive an email cancellation notice and either receive a refund (if paid to Pearson VUE) or an extension as determined by your exam sponsor. You can also log in to your Pearson VUE account to verify if you can still see your upcoming exam appointment. If you are still able to see your upcoming exam appointment, please expect your exam to go ahead as planned, but potentially with additional health and safety measures in place.
Q. Why was my exam canceled?
A. Occasionally, as local guidelines dictate, Pearson-owned and operated test centers may need to close or reduce appointment availability, resulting in exam cancellation.
Third-party test centers have been directed to follow guidance from local governments and health authorities, which could also have had an impact on your exam appointment.
Q. Will I get a refund if my exam is canceled?
A. If your exam was canceled because of a testing site closure, you will receive a full refund, regardless of cancellation window.
Test-takers whose exam payment was processed through their exam sponsor will either receive a refund or an extension as determined by the exam sponsor.
Q. Can I reschedule my exam?
A. Yes. You should attempt to reschedule your exam through your online Pearson VUE account. The scheduling system will only allow booking of exams on dates available for testing.
If you have additional questions regarding voucher usage or testing windows, please visit your exam program's homepage.
Q. When can I reschedule my exam?
A. You can attempt to reschedule your exam online now. You’ll only be able to register for an exam if testing is available on that date. If you do not see an appointment available for a specific date at a specific test center, testing may not be available there due to local conditions. Please check back regularly for updated availability.
Q. Where can I find test delivery information specific to my country?
A. You’ll find any country-specific requirements and/or restrictions on our COVID-related testing information page.
Q. I am scheduled to take my exam at a third-party test center, and I'm worried it is going to be closed. What should I do?
A. Some of our third-party test centers around the world are operating at limited or changed capacity based on their own discretion outside of government mandates in affected areas. If your exam is affected by scheduling changes at a third-party test center, you will receive a standard cancellation notice alerting you. If you do not receive any notice from the test center, you can assume that your exam is still moving forward as scheduled.
Q. My window to certify is expiring soon. What should I do?
A. We understand you may be on a deadline to take your exam. If you cannot find seat availability due to scheduling changes in response to COVID-19, please reach out to your university or exam sponsor about next steps. Please keep the exam cancellation email you received from us.
Q. What health and safety measures are you taking at your test centers?
A. The standard sanitizing regimen in our PPCs includes regularly cleaning and disinfecting common areas and workstations, and providing hand sanitizer throughout waiting areas and testing rooms. We also encourage our third-party test centers to implement these precautionary measures.
Q. How can I find the latest information on test delivery?
A. Please visit our COVID-related testing information page regularly for updates.
