To use the appointment scheduling web pages for your Pearson VUE exam, you will be asked to create a username and password on the Pearson VUE website. You don't need to create an account if you already created an account as part of a previous ABA España examination. To do this, use the "Create account" link on the right side of this page. You only have to do this once. Subsequently, you can access your Pearson VUE account via the "Sign In" button. If you are authorized to take this exam, you will receive a confirmation email from ABA España. ABA España will only approve students who meet the performance requirements indicated in the official course guide.
Once you have created a Pearson VUE account you can proceed to schedule your exam for an available date and time. This videotutorial describes the exam appointment scheduling process. Make sure to select the correct time zone during the scheduling process. You can also choose to take the exam in English or Spanish. You can take the exam at a Pearson VUE test center if there is one near your place of residence. Whenever possible we recommend that candidate take their exam in an exam center. Exam center availability in your area may be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Doing your test in an exam center is especially recommended if: you are not proficient in English, you have limited computer skills, you are not sure whether your computer or internet connection are adequate, or you require any kind of accommodation.
Alternatively, you can take the exam in your own home with remote proctoring by selecting the "OnVUE" delivery method at the time of scheduling. Below are more details on how to schedule your exam date and time.
When making your final exam reservation, you must pay the corresponding fee. The exam fee is indicated in the course guide and is the same no matter which delivery method you choose. You can pay by credit or debit card. If you do not have a credit or debit card, contact ABA España as soon as possible via firstname.lastname@example.org
Your test is called "Examen Final de ABA España", with the exam series code ABAESP-1. Once you have signed in to your Pearson VUE account, you can select test center (depending on availability) and reserve a place or select the day and time for your online exam.
Once scheduled, if necessary, you can later change your reservation (to a different date, time, or test center location); simply log in to your account and choose "Reschedule". You can reschedule until the end of the booking period.
If you schedule an appointment but decide not to attend, you must cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
Personal items such as telephones, calculators, papers, etc. will not be allowed in the testing room. ** In test centers, visits to the bathroom will be allowed (but the exam clock will not stop). When taking the exam via OnVUE, bathroom breaks are not permitted. If you need any reasonable adjustments (aka accommodations, e.g. being able to bring medication, food or water), please contact the ABA España team at email@example.com before scheduling your appointment. You will need to provide medical documentation to support the need for an accommodation, so that we can ensure that your needs can be met at the chosen exam center. We recommend that individuals who require these accommodations take the test at a Pearson VUE test center as certain accommodations are not possible via OnVUE.
The assessment will begin with a short tutorial to familiarize yourself with the controls and the layout of the screens and will end with a short survey. Use the link on the right to access a typical exam tutorial. ***
* If you choose to take the exam at home via the OnVUE method, you are responsible for ensuring that your computer, webcam, internet connection, speakers, microphone, etc., meet the required specified criteria. You should be sure to read all relevant information at www.pearsonvue.com/abaespana/onvue. Faulty equipment will not be taken into account if the OnVUE exam delivery is unsuccessful and cannot be completed; Applicants will not be able to re-book the assessment due to defective or non-operational equipment after the booking period closes.
** The exam has integrated functionality to use a calculator or take notes if you need it.
*** Remember that the ABA España exam can be taken in Spanish or English and will consist of questions with four choices of which only one option is correct.
Before starting your exam, you will be asked to present a government-issued identification (photocopies are not accepted), valid (not expired) which includes your name, photo and signature. If you do not have this document, you can present two documents, one that includes your photo and the other that includes your signature (this exception applies only when taking the exam at a test center). At least one of these documents must be issued by a government entity (examples of documents that you could combine: driver's license and bank card, driver's license and social security card). The first and last name that you used to register for your Pearson VUE account and with ABA España must exactly match the first and last name in the identification that you present on the day of the exam. The ID policy information is available here in English and in Spanish.
If you do not have the necessary identification documents or if you have any questions about your identity documents, contact ABA España at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
Once your exam is launched, you will be presented with the following:
||Non-Disclosure Agreement [Spanish]

||ABA España exam, comprising 100 multiple choice questions (16 questions from each of 6 syllabus areas + 4 unscored questions) [Spanish or English]
