CyberArk Certification Testing

We are excited to share we have recently updated our Defender-PAM technical certification exam, which will be available via Pearson VUE as of May 1, 2023. The new CyberArk Defender-PAM exam will be product agnostic. The latest version of the exam focuses on validating your ability to perform administration functions, including ongoing support, regardless of whether it is a self-hosted or SaaS-based PAM Solution. CyberArk certification is designed for various roles and levels of experience, each introducing progressively more advanced and challenging material and exams. You can work up to the level that best aligns with your responsibilities and career ambitions. Scheduling a certification exam

You can take certification exams at a Pearson VUE® Authorized Testing Center. In addition, all CyberArk exams are available via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring, which allows you to take any exam from almost any location and at any time. Program Information

Defender (Via Pearson VUE)

This certification provides the practical knowledge and technical skills to maintain day-to-day operations and support the on-going performance of the relevant CyberArk Solution. The Defender level includes the following exams:

  1. CyberArk Defender PAM (PAM-DEF, previously known as CAU201)
  2. CyberArk Defender EPM (EPM-DEF, previously known as CAU310)
  3. CyberArk Defender Access (ACC-DEF)

Sentry (Via Pearson VUE)

This certification track provides participants with the tools to deploy, install, and configure the CyberArk Solution.

This level includes the following exams:

  1. CyberArk Sentry PAM (PAM-SEN, previously known as CAU301. CyberArk Defender PAM is a pre-requisites)
  2. New! CyberArk Sentry Secrets Manager (SECRET-SEN)

Guardian

Recipients of this certification have proven their advanced skills with the various CyberArk solutions and their ability to combine organizational architecture with privileged access security strategy.

The certification will cover knowledge around CPM capacity and sizing, Syslog redundancy, architecture, use cases, least privilege concepts and cloud architecture.

CyberArk goes DIGITAL with Achievements - CyberArk Digital Badges

CyberArk has partnered with the digital credential provider Credly in launching a series of digital badges that you can earn after completing specific achievements, such as getting certified in configuring and supporting CyberArk solutions. Once you have passed the specific badge achievement criteria, we will provide the corresponding badge for you to share.

How it works:
1. You will receive an email notifying you to claim your CyberArk badge at our partner Credly's website
2. Click on the link in that email
3. Create an account on the Credly website and confirm your email
4. Claim your new CyberArk digital badge
5. Start sharing on your achievement on social and professional networks

Note: Please allow up to 15 days for the achievement to be verified before receiving your badge.

Channel Partner Certification

The CyberArk Channel Certification Program complements the new CyberArk Certification Program by providing content and experience that is available only to our channels.

CyberArk Certified Sales Professional (CSP) and CyberArk Certified Pre-Sales Engineer (CPE)

CSP and CPE Certification is now available for each CyberArk product line. Ensure to select the certification path that will fit your professional needs.

The structure of the CyberArk Certified Sales Professional (CSP) and CyberArk Certified Pre-Sales Engineer (CPE) courses and exam will not change. CSP and CPE Certifications are now available for each of the CyberArk Identity Security product families. Ensure to select the certification path that will fit your professional needs. CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer (CDE) Exams

CDE Certification will soon be available for each of the CyberArk Identity Security product families. Ensure to select the certification path that will fit your professional needs.

CyberArk CDE certifications are now available for PAM and EPM.

CDE – PAM - Followed by the Sentry – PAM Exam. By passing the exam channel partners can continue in their CDE certification path.

CDE – EPM - CyberArk Channel Partners must take the Defender - EPM Exam. By passing the exam channel partners can continue in their CDE – EPM certification path.

CDE – Access - CyberArk Channel Partners must take the Defender - Access Exam. By passing the exam channel partners can continue in their CDE – Access certification path.

CDE – CPC - CyberArk Channel Partners must first be CDE-PAM. More information can be found by login to your Community Account and visit the relevant CyberArk CDE pages.

CDE – Secrets Manager - CyberArk Channel Partners must take the Sentry - Secrets Manager Exam. By passing the exam channel partners can continue in their CDE – Secrets Manager certification path.

CyberArk CDE Recertification

The CyberArk CDE certification is valid for 24 months. Certified Delivery Engineers will get automatic notifications 6 months and 3 months before their certification is expired.

Effective 1-January 2022, CyberArk will implement a proctored recertification exam which can be taken at any Pearson VUE authorized testing centers or online.

To get re-certified, CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineers should Contact training@cyberark.com to get access code to the CDE re-certification exam.

Who Owns Your Certification?

Regardless of who pays for the exam, you, the exam candidate, own the results. Your exam history is linked to your Certified Professional ID number granted the first time you create a Pearson VUE account. You should never create another one. If you change employers, you should contact training@cyberark.com and we will assist you in moving your records to your new account associated with your new employer.

Exam Retake Policy

If you do not pass an exam on your first attempt, you may retake the exam after 5 days. If you do not pass an exam on your second attempt, you must wait at least 30 days between each additional attempt. You are allowed a maximum of three attempts in a 12-month period.

Non-Disclosure Agreement

Once candidates are seated for an exam in a Pearson VUE Testing Center, they will be given 5 minutes to read and sign CyberArk’s examination Non-Disclosure Agreement. Signing the NDA is required for candidates to proceed with the exam. Candidates who decline, or do not ‘agree’, within the 5 minutes given will be excused from the exam room and all examination fees will be forfeited.

Identification (ID) Requirements

You need to present two IDs for the test:

The Primary ID should be a government-issued ID with the name, photo, and signature.

The second ID needs to have your name and signature. No photo is necessary for the second ID.

Note: The Aadhaar Card is not an acceptable form of identification during the Pearson VUE exam check-in process in India.

All IDs should be original. A photocopy of an ID is not allowed.

Exceptions to ID Requirements:

  • Expired forms of ID may be acceptable only if accompanied by valid renewal papers.
  • Any government-issued ID missing a visible signature or embedded signature may be supplemented with a valid ID with at least a matching name and signature.

This would be in addition to any exam sponsor(client) issued secondary ID requirement.

Any exceptions to the ID requirement policy must be pre-approved by the Pearson VUE customer service center at least three business days before the scheduled exam date.
