Advantages of Participating

You will have the opportunity to view and respond to questions that may appear on future test forms for the NES® (National Evaluation Series™) program.

Upon acceptable completion of a pilot test form, participants are offered a choice between a $50.00 Amazon gift card or a $75.00 NES test voucher that may be applied towards future NES testing fees. Test vouchers are transferable and expire 1 year from the date of issue. Incentives are issued upon verification of the acceptable completion of each pilot test form*. Your incentive will be sent to your email address within 6 weeks of participation. You will not receive a score for this pilot test nor will it be counted toward your certification.

Other advantages of pilot test participation include:

  • providing input into the test that will be taken by future educators,
  • gauging professional knowledge by taking actual test items, and
  • gaining practical testing experience.

*Please note: You must acceptably complete the pilot test to be eligible for an incentive. You may choose only one incentive per pilot test session and may take up to two (2) pilot test forms. You may only take pilot tests in one (1) of the fields offered. Additional incentive requests for multiple fields will not be honored.

Test Information

Each pilot test form consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and is administered during a 90-minute pilot test session of which approximately 70 minutes are provided to respond to the questions. (The remaining 20 minutes include a computer-based testing tutorial and a short survey.) Eligible participants may complete up to two (2) pilot test forms for one (1) subject area. The second registration can only be scheduled after the first pilot test session is completed (consecutive pilot test appointments are not available). Pilot test results will be analyzed as group data only and will be kept confidential. Score information will not be provided to participants or any entity.
