ICC - National Certification and UST/AST

ICC has been split into different testing programs on our website. You will need to know the two digit exam code before you can register for your National Certification and UST/AST exam. Each testing program will require a unique username and password. View the current exams list for the National Certification and UST/AST program.

This page contains specific information about the National Certification and UST/AST programs. It is the candidate’s responsibility to read and understand the applicable exam information on ICC’s website prior to scheduling an exam.

Exams must be purchased directly through the ICC Store. Once you have purchased an exam, you will be able to schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center. Before you can purchase an exam, you must have an account in ICC’s system.


  • National Certification exams based on the 2012 editions of the International Codes will continue to be offered via computer-based testing through at least December 2017, with exceptions noted on ICC’s website.
  • National Certification exams based on the 2015 editions of the International Codes will be offered throughout 2017 and beyond.

Please VERIFY that you have registered your LEGAL name as it appears on your government-issued ID and that your personal information is CORRECT. Contact ICC immediately to correct the spelling of your name or update your personal information if you notice any errors. It is very important that this information is correct, as it will appear as it was entered on the documentation provided to you after you have completed the exam, as well as on any reports to your licensing agency.
